You may be eligible for DES if you:
- have a disability, injury or illness
- are aged at least 14 years and have not yet reached the Age Pension age (currently 67 years)
- are at or above the minimum legal working age
- can work for or have a future work capacity a minimum of 8 hours
- are in receipt of income support payments, such as: Parenting Payments, Carers Payment (not allowance), Job seeker payment or DSP or you are ESAt/JCA exempt and are within the following cohorts
- are a current NDIS participant
- are a pre-release prisoner; or
- are participating in a Disability Employment Service program of support
- are an Australian resident
- are not studying full time (unless the job seeker is an Eligible School Leaver)
